Loud Speaker For Auditory Perspective By Thuras

The Fletcher system was the father of the Shearer sound system and all those to come. I've posted about this before but now I wonder if this system survived? Does anyone know if this most important piece of audio history still exists? I pray it is out there somewhere. The construction is amazing. How big is the compression driver on the bass bins? It never ceases to amaze me.
The New York Times reported that "Sound Waves 'Rock' Carnegie Hall As Enhanced Music Is Played" and "The loudest sounds ever created crashed and echoed through venerable Carnegie Hall last night as a specially invited audience listened, spellbound, and at times not a little terrified."

Here is the article on the Loudspeaker Article by Thuras.
