You Can Budget Your High-Fidelity

I'm sure most of us can relate to the audio junkie that wrote this letter. Not much has changed as they were besieged by articles praising the latest mega buck audio gadget even in the early 1950's. Of course I feel I learn more from these 50's audio magazines than the big name audio mags selling skinny speakers and black box electronics devoid of any soul. I have trouble englishing what a system sounds like but for me it is how a system feels goosebumps or yawns. Here is a cool 16 page article from the early 1950's.











 These would rate highly today. At least they aren't skinny speakers.
