Rogers A/C 46S Radio Tube

I was excited when I got this tube off of ebay for NOS super cheap. I should have known there was a catch.

 I did not pay attention to the "SPRAY-SHIELD"

 I suppose this may have been helpful for radios but I hate it. I like seeing the internals and filaments aglow. 

 I contemplated removing the spray but I have no idea what it was made of and likely more trouble than it is worth.
