An early article about the 250 from the Westinghouse Lamp Company.  I wonder if Tesla was still working for Westinghouse in 1929?
 
  
Here are a couple examples of the mighty 50. The first is my fave as the construction is over the top compared to the others which I am sure are great tubes. But you have to admit they look sad by comparison.
