Klipsch Museum 1st Educational Event

This was the first of what will hopefully be an annual event. Roy Delgado gave talks and demos to illustrate why PWK did what he did and why they still follow his example and standard. We don't have PWK anymore but Roy Delgado follows his principles and expands on what PWK that was the future of speaker development.
I must have asked Roy a stupid question and gave him a headache. On the left is the mighty Jubilee and on the right the recently upgraded Cornwall 4.
Roy shared data on how he develops crossovers but not the skunk works side of things. Crossovers are where DIY fails IMO and he just illustrated how complex they can become with so many moving parameters.
This is part of the class with what looks like some new ported Heresy 4's.  Honestly I am still amazed there is still room for improvement in the Heritage line. I can with all honesty say the Heritage line has never been stronger and it will be one to watch for future developments. Bravo Roy and Klipsch.
A little piece of old history PWK and Roy's K403 with the new Cornwall 4 underneath..

It was always the museums goal to have education be one of the most important aspects of the museum. This was just a start of more to come.
This is where Jim Hunter gave a lengthy history on Paul W Klipsch. It was superb. I always learn something new when I go to Hope.

Thank you Jim Hunter, Roy Delgado, and Travis Williamson.

Jim Hunter and the popular "They Sound OK" t-shirt.

Don't go for a walk in the woods on the old proving grounds 8-)

Brook 12A Sings Again

The input wire on this old timey 6 pin plug from preamp to amp was disconected. I am looking for another plug as this one clearly has issues. It is repaired best we can but really needs a new one. Thanks to Chris Hornbeck for his trouble shooting skills!
I built a pair of clones and they do not even come close to the real deal Brook 12A. Going to have to do something about that. We studied this Brook as it was restored by Richard Modaferri of McIntosh fame.
Sadly they go home Friday 8-(

This is what Modaferri did for this Brook. I will be doing the exact same thing in my clones.
For any Brook fans this amplifier is very stable and sounds amazing on PWK's Jubilees... Stunning...

Mullard Tubes Circuits For Stereo

I've seen the Mullard books but can't find this one. I think I have a few tube amps that use these circuits.

RIP Ginger Baker

Ginger Baker was a hell of a drummer perhaps one of the best this is proven not with his Cream rock drumming but when he went to Legos, Africa. I'll get this out of the way Cream was good but I am board to tears wirth rock. The work Ginger Baker did with Fela's bands took his drumming to a much higher level. Their work was stunning. If it wasn't for Ginger perhaps Fela and AfroPop wouldn't be as well known. I likely have Ginger to thank for my 20 year obsession with African music. Thank you Ginger.

H.H. Scott MCM Brochure

A really cool early HH Scott Brochure. I want the chair so bad. I have the table lol... I also like how everything works without wires.....

I see the Azurahorn site has been update or resurected.
If your into horns and DIY check it out!

I love theirLe Cleach horns. I've heard them on a few systems over the years. The only drawback is they are located in the Outback but don't let that stop you.

Brook 10C3 Preamp

This preamp would have been used with the 10C or 12A Brook amplifiers. It has several 6SJ7 tubes. Constuction is interesting. I am glad the only thing wrong with it was a barely connected input wire in the umbillical cord. A quick easy fix.
I love the atomic style logo. Doesn't get better than atomic.
The different inputs allow for different gains. I'll need to consult the manual.
Beautiful construction. Lots of parts in a small area.
There wasn't much wrong with this unit as Modafferi worked on this in 1993.
