Brook 10C3 Preamp

This preamp would have been used with the 10C or 12A Brook amplifiers. It has several 6SJ7 tubes. Constuction is interesting. I am glad the only thing wrong with it was a barely connected input wire in the umbillical cord. A quick easy fix.
I love the atomic style logo. Doesn't get better than atomic.
The different inputs allow for different gains. I'll need to consult the manual.
Beautiful construction. Lots of parts in a small area.
There wasn't much wrong with this unit as Modafferi worked on this in 1993.

Brook 12A Datasheet

I ordered the original photo fact off of ebay as I had never seen all the data. Since I am building it this year I should have it. My version will be larger due to parts selection. The first build will be pretty much stock. I am curious about what tweaks would you guys make to the 12a? Not wanting to get too far from original design.

Original schematic with error of C3 being reversed. Any other errors?

Brook Electronics - The NEW Brook - 1948

The NEW Brook 10 WATT All-Triode Amplifier.
Great ad from 1948. Does anyone have a copy of the Technical Bulletin BK-10. I hope it is out there somewhere.

Brook Electroncis Ad - Stage A Music Festival

Another early Brook Electronics advert. I'd much rather listen to a Brook in my home with AC than brave a music festival in the summer...

Brook Electronics Let Your Ears Pass Judgement

Another early Brook Electronics ad. I've found a few more of these while researching the 12A. I hope to do a 12A clone this year.

1945 Capehart 414N

Is this proof that EMIA and Joe Roberts are also time travelers? Or were the guys at Capehart just like minded brethren. Jeffery Jackson alerted me to this one. It has everything strain gauge, Western Electric 728B, Brook PP 2A3, and a pancake flipper record changer. It is beautiful!
 Mmmmm Brook!!!!!!
 Western Electric

Capehart gets extra points for style. I wonder what this cost in 1945? Anyone know?

50's PWK mono Khorn Brook amp and preamp

This is a great pic someone posted on the Klipsch forum. Obviously from the 50's with a nice mono system featuring his prized Brook amp and preamp. Does anyone know what model turntable and tonearm that is? ( edit tonearm looks like a Grace 108c ) The clearly homemade system stands are interesting.
