Late 1920's Push Pull Sparton 250 Amplifiers

This pair of early Sparton Push Pull 250 amplifiers recently sold on ebay. Some people think the Marantz 7 is the ideal beauty but to me these early pro amplifiers are stunners.

 Sparton or Autorad Electric Corporation

I might have to replicate this look.

Very Early Pro Sound - Field Coils with Horns and Triodes 245 250

This is one of my favorite early ads because it has it all like field coils, horns, triodes in the flavor of 250 and 245.

$20 in 1930 equals about $275 today.
Nice selection of field coils from the early guys Jensen and Utah.
I want everything I build to look like these early pro amps.

A HIGH-POWER OUTPUT TUBE - THE 250 - 1929

An early article about the 250 from the Westinghouse Lamp Company.  I wonder if Tesla was still working for Westinghouse in 1929?

Here are a couple examples of the mighty 50. The first is my fave as the construction is over the top compared to the others which I am sure are great tubes. But you have to admit they look sad by comparison.

Tone Quality - General Amplifier Company - 1929

They do not get points for creative company names but I like the industrial look of their gear. They are building around the 250  and 245. I with they had a picture of the GA40 with four 250's and four 280's. Certainly overkill back in the day.

RCA RADIOTRONS AD

I wonder how much these UX-250's cost back then.
