Jealvox Sound Monitor

This is a new one to me. It looks like a Klipsch Belle but is quite different. The Jealvox sound monitor is very interesting. I will be posting more on Jealvox in the coming weeks.. Does anyone out there know where this were produced?

  1. Hi,

    Nice find :)
As far as i know, these are Danish and from the late 70´s. The diffraction horn sounds awful with a compression driver but works quite well as implemented here. Memory plays tricks with you but I do remember that i liked these when I heard them during the 80´s.

  3. Yes, cabinets and crossovers were Danish. The drivers, however, were German (Isophon-Werke Berlin, typically P30s or P37s).

  6. In many cases they are lighter and require less upkeep than tube amps but their sound is additionally considereded a bit flat and sterile by some entertainers. His comment is here
