Dead Kennedys - Nazi Punks Fuck Off and Jello Biafra's Run For Mayor 1977

A post out there on the electro web has prompted this posting. Of all the punk bands Jello Biafra was the best at broadcasting their message.

Nazi Punks Fuck Off

Jello Biafra Run For Mayor 1977.
Jello For President 2016!
Listening to this now is a little spooky as things haven't changed as much as they should have.

Peter Walker's Little Wonder 1956

I've always been a fan of the Quad ESL speakers but I've never owned a pair. Maybe I'll find a pair local someday. I do have one room left that needs speakers.... Kitchen...

Smoke 'em if you got 'em

I haven't had much trouble with parts from Ukraine except being slow to arrive. The mistake was all mine. I ordered some caps but was abit surprised by their size.  I might need a bigger chassis to stuff 6 of these in each....
 Nice glass seals.

Mullard EL84 1958

I dig the British bulldog in this ad for the EL84. I have a quad of EL84 in my Heathkit AA151 if I ever get to it but I am on the way. It is about 6 projects down the list lol.

You Can Budget Your High-Fidelity

I'm sure most of us can relate to the audio junkie that wrote this letter. Not much has changed as they were besieged by articles praising the latest mega buck audio gadget even in the early 1950's. Of course I feel I learn more from these 50's audio magazines than the big name audio mags selling skinny speakers and black box electronics devoid of any soul. I have trouble englishing what a system sounds like but for me it is how a system feels goosebumps or yawns. Here is a cool 16 page article from the early 1950's.

These would rate highly today. At least they aren't skinny speakers.

I'm afraid this is where it ends. I'll try to find a part II.

Hi-Fi With That Coffee Aroma - 1958

Great article covering Japanese Hi-Fi coffee houses. I have wanted to do something similar ever since I first heard of this vintage Hi-Fi concept.  The system pictured is amazing.

A better show of the system still in operation.
