Brook Electroncis Ad - Stage A Music Festival

Another early Brook Electronics advert. I'd much rather listen to a Brook in my home with AC than brave a music festival in the summer...

The Vitavox Klipschorn

This is a rare ad from Vitavox from the mid 60's. Their take on the Klipschorn is one of the best ever done. Unlike competitors they actually paid licensing fees to Klipsch.

Stereo Lays An Egg

Not the best slogan for an ad but hey it is a stereo egg chair. I had the opportunity to buy one of these a few years ago. If the fiberglass hadn't had a little damage I would have had to explain bringing home an egg chair..

Technics SL-P1200 Broadcast CDP Has Landed

This week a friend offered to buy some electronics from me but I suggested we trade. I knew he had an old top loading cd player but I didn't realize it was one I've been wanting until it landed. It was an irrational want I've been wanting a big broadcast quality CD player. This one comes in at 32lbs.
My friend has the missing buttons which is good. The glue on these buttons only last twenty years. A quick google image search shows many with buttons missing.
That is some retro display action going on here.
Here are some digital hieroglyphics of the modern age.
Top loading...
Digital gore.
It did have a few issues. There was hum. Then The rca input jack broke and of course it was attached to a little circuit board. It took some rigging but I got new rca jacks to fit. The hum disappeared after the new jacks were installed.
How does it sound.... I don't know but I had fun spinning They Might Be Giants and Marley. Did I mess with the digital slip cueing and pitch control? YEAH.... I'm a dork it was fun.

Arash's Asahita Speaker Project

This is a really cool speaker project which has relation of course to the Klipsch Belle or La Scala. The craftsmanship and build technique is top notch. .
Amazing what a good cad program and a cnc can do... Well and having someone who can program it.

 The bass bin comes together.
No off the shelf mid horn this is an Edgar style tractrix horn.

 The veneer is really wild.
 Great paint booth.

Beautiful work Arash!!!!

Western Electric Theater Turntable

I'd like to think my 301 turntable motor was robust but this makes it look tiny.
Probably playing Mae West newest release.
That is a hell of a thing....

RCA Sound Translation....... next to perfect!

The LC-1A is on the list of "full range" speakers I'd like to owen. Their price keeps going up and I've missed local bargains twice now.... Sigh.

Brociner Coner Speaker

Licensed of course from Klipsch but here is an early Brociner advert. It features the K5 with trusonic hf driver and 500hz network. The ad says Pisa but every example I have seen had a Trusonic.
