Edgarhorn 50

Edgarhorn 50

I have been scouring the internet looking for more info on these Edgarhorns but can not find very much. Does anyone have anything they can share about these?

Interesting two way horn system. Beautiful.

  2. Have you tried contacting Bruce Edgar? He still posts over on audio asylum. From my recollection, this wasn't a standard Edgarhorn offering. It combines the "salad bowl" style 350hz tractrix horn that Bruce sold for a while with a homebrew "J-horn". I think Steve Schell is the expert on Jhorns, who you can also find on the High Efficiency asylum or at audioheritage. There's an interesting article on building a J-horn/conical horn system on 6moons. Search for hornographic pursuits.

  3. @Estricto:They do look like an acquired taste visually, but I'd still like to hear what they sound like.

  4. Well, I have reached an age where I can no longer really enjoy hi-end audio, and I have an array of seven Edgar Horns that are pretty good. I live in Dallas now, and I am represented by Dan Yoder, who is point man at Dallas Vintage Audio. Anyone interested can contact him through their website: https://www.dallasvintageaudio.com/
    Best wishes,
