Design of a 27-inch LOUDSPEAKER R.T. Bozak

I've posted about this monster field coil that is in the Klipsch museum before but I thought I would share this document that Steve Schell posted at Audio Heritage.

A few pics. Not sure how many survive to date.

Check out my foot for a little perspective.

Stephens Trusonic Ad

The more I learn about Stephens Trusonic the more I regret not buying Stephens speakers in the past. What the hell was I thinking.

Retro Hi-Fi Girl Friday

Dope From Hope Vol.12 No.5 1972 1978

I really like this Dope From Hope. The K5 is mentioned as being marginally better. The K5 is my preference compared to the K400. Hmm a K5J with WE713J had to be good.

Lansing Iconic 1942 Ad

Yup another speaker on my list I'd love to find someday. The early Lansing speakers are amazing and the Iconic is aptly named.

EMT 950 Technolust

I give in to technolust way to easily. Those big buttons and custom chasis just look great. To make matters worse the EMT is not a common brand in the states. If anyone has a spare I would be happy to pick it up. :)

Belchfire Datasheet

Engineer humor cracks me up.

Thanks to Artto for this one.

Dynaco Dynakit ST70 1959 Reviews

I've heard a couple of modified Dynacos and really liked them. The MKIV is my favorite with the ST70 coming in second.

Electro Voice Patrcian 800

EV built some massive speakers back in the glory days of HiFi. The Patrician 800 had a reported range of 15-23000. That is a rare feat even today. Not sure what the - or + db was on that but wow. This also used that giant 30 inch woofer. Would love to hear a pair of these. I would be interested to hear how they sound with all those crossover points.

Here is some technical data.

Over 42 inches high.

Here are some great details on the 800 from http://www.novacon.com.br/audiopat8001.htm.

Have to hear these some day.
